Salomé Mohajer

Salomé Mohajer is founding Deputy Director at IMEO. She works closely with the Director’s office and IMEO staff to develop and implement the organization’s mission. She spent over a decade at UCLA’s Center for Middle East Development, playing various roles such as project manager, conference ground operations lead, head of intern and volunteer programs, and developer of virtual programming. Prior to her work in the MENA sphere, she served as a public school educator in New York City, was a founding teacher at a KIPP charter school in Gary, Indiana, and taught English in Taiwan. Salomé brings her lifelong passion for education, community development, and social justice to IMEO.

Education: Masters in Teaching (Teach for America partnership), Pace University, USA; Bachelor of Arts (Women Studies focused on Third World Feminisms and a minor in Psychology), University of California, Santa Cruz, USA.
